The monopoly table or board contains 40 squares. Of these 28 squares are properties which a player can buy. In these properties 22 are streets, 4 are railroads, and 2 utility companies. Of the remaining squares, there are three community chest squares, 3 chance squares, 2 tax squares, one luxury tax and one income tax squares. What remains is the ‘go’, ‘go to jail’, ‘jail’ and ‘free parking squares’. This is as far as the board is concerned. But to play monopoly you need something else too.
